First experience here. I’m used to going to Maldon and Southend for skating. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was brilliant , I rate it higher than the above places. We went to the open skate session on a Saturday afternoon, Price was cheap 1adult 1child 1watching - £13.50 all in. I didn’t have skate hire so not sure if this costs extra. 3 drinks - £4 . Cannot argue with that. It was not overcrowded and I could still gather good speed without feeling like I’m about to knock into everyone. They play games too depending on the judged level of skaters on the rink. I got to play bulldog (proper rules too). If you’re new to skating and you choose to, they offer a separate small zone for practising and when you feel a little more confident you can go on the large rink and use a skate assist style frame on wheels which I could see really helps newbies to get the hang of it. All friendly staff. I didn’t buy any of the food but it smelt really nice. We were on holiday to heacham and If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be sure to revisit.
First time visit for a kids birthday party last month. My daughter loved it and so did I ! Great venue. Great party food. Friendly staff Inspired me to buy some skates after 30 years of not skating. Can't wait to try them out ! Not sure who's more excited me or my daughter 😀
Love this place. We've recently started taking our 5 year old girl who is a natural on the wheels. The staff are attentive when it comes to falls and even take the time to do a bit of teaching. Top stuff. Will keep coming!
We visited for the first time yesterday and the kids were very excited they had a great time. The prices were reasonable, which was a nice bonus. The café staff were especially helpful when it came to managing my son’s severe allergies, and we really appreciated the care they took with our food order. However, there were a couple of concerns. At times, staff weren’t present on the ring even while people were falling whilst skating, which felt a bit unsafe. There was no urgency when someone did fall. More importantly, we found it quite unpleasant that staff were eating food from the diner while working in the skate hire area, serving customers without washing their hands and talking with their mouths full. Given my son’s severe allergies, this raised serious hygiene concerns for us. There should be dedicated areas like a staff room for this or just eat in the diner?
