I used to skate here as a youth. The place has enjoyed a bit of a revamp and has a good family vibe at the weekends. Actually I dont think it was this busy in the 90's and early 00's. Could do with a few more lights in the car park.
Well... What can I say? We booked a birthday party very late, about a week before and they accomadated us extremely well. My daughter had 11 guests, and when they all arrived, they were taken through to reserved rink side seating and given a wristband which allowed them skate hire, and Access to the party room. We were given an hour of skating before the food was ready, and we moved I to the party room to eat. We were given a bell incase we needed any service from the kitchen and left alone to enjoy our food. Afterwards we were back to the skating until closing time. There were plenty of stewards about to help any fallers, a practice area for skaters with no experience or low confidence, and they can provide a "frame " to hold if you need it to hold onto whilst you skate. The stewards also help and give guidance on how to skate and give you tips to improve. My son fell hard on the rink, and one of the staff members were in hand almost instantly to help him up and provide an ice pack. They are very cautious and knowledgeable when someone fallsand will pick them up and help them to a seat quickly. ALL staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure that anything we wanted was provided. I would recommend to anybody. They are great for parties and are very reasonably priced. We will be back again soon. Thank you.
Atmosphere really amzing, and fun. However i believe this place should be better managed. Should be managed amount of people who is coming, as there can be absolutely crowded and not possible to skate. Not to mention if people not so experienced and so much hazard with kids. Kids who is skating with support holders sometimes line up 5 of them, or just fighting with those frames. My sons back was injured when he did fall because of this. Im sure there supposed to be online booking with how many spaces are left, and should be assessed how many people total can skate in this arena. Not everything just about money making.
We booked a Saturday night disco party for my 11 year old and their friends. It was amazing value for money, everyone had a fantastic time and the staff were all extremely attentive and well organised, we literally didn't have to ask or remind anyone for anything. If any (not just party guest) fell staff were immediately on scene to assist and the staff gave advice to any novice skater too. Thank you Skaters for a lovely evening.
Was ok but very out dated. Gary the one that thinks he owns the place is rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful. The music is as outdated as the place itself and I’m guessing if I went again some 3 years on nothing has changed 😏 save your money and use the park there’s more room and no rude staff. Have also saved enough money to buy some really good JBL speakers and no travelling back and forth 😁 do miss the girls on a wends morning tho 😌 after reading the comments from the owner I’m so glade I don’t go any more but after a year and a half I just wanted to turn up and be able to skate around unhindered. This was something that I was attacked and abused for so maybe have staff that’s more understanding it’s all about the money it seems
