First visit last year was excellent. More flashing lights and much brighter this year. Staff and regulars said they had been cleaned. Owner said they were the same. If you have neurodiversity that’s effected by bright lights or photosensitivity avoid the disco sessions. There is a lights free session but it’s during working hours. Owner feels this is adequate and that other sessions do not exclude anyone. Refund was given but reluctantly, the owner made me feel pretty bad. In today’s inclusive world most places have the capability to make minor adaptations to ensure exclusion is avoided. Discos using fast flashing lights carry warnings and it’s not assumed that visitors are aware of the conditions from the word disco. I attend many discos and have attended many disco ice skating sessions. None have the volume of lighting here. The guy handing the skates was brilliant. Attitude from owner poor and argumentative.
Wonderful place for experienced skaters and beginners. Nice observers area. Staff all helpful, pleasant and professional. Snacks area with hot and cold snacks. Plenty of car parking. Skating rink floor better than most according to my granddaughter who skates in demo team and has skated at various places. She finds it a real treat to travel 2hrs journey to get there. Excellent.
Really good fun and value for money for the entry fee and skate hire. Food and drink is really affordable too. Staff are great. Cheap few hours out for the kids.
First experience here. I’m used to going to Maldon and Southend for skating. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was brilliant , I rate it higher than the above places. We went to the open skate session on a Saturday afternoon, Price was cheap 1adult 1child 1watching - £13.50 all in. I didn’t have skate hire so not sure if this costs extra. 3 drinks - £4 . Cannot argue with that. It was not overcrowded and I could still gather good speed without feeling like I’m about to knock into everyone. They play games too depending on the judged level of skaters on the rink. I got to play bulldog (proper rules too). If you’re new to skating and you choose to, they offer a separate small zone for practising and when you feel a little more confident you can go on the large rink and use a skate assist style frame on wheels which I could see really helps newbies to get the hang of it. All friendly staff. I didn’t buy any of the food but it smelt really nice. We were on holiday to heacham and If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be sure to revisit.
Love this place. We've recently started taking our 5 year old girl who is a natural on the wheels. The staff are attentive when it comes to falls and even take the time to do a bit of teaching. Top stuff. Will keep coming!
